Intro

I play a little piano, but I mostly compose the hard way by programming midi! Why do you enjoy composing music? One word: freedom.

I’m inspired by Hans Zimmer (stating the obvious) but also 2 steps from hell (produce consistent fantastic work), Thomas Newman (again, stating the obvious), Hildur Guðnadóttir's work on the Joker was insane too.

Music

My favourite techniques for composing music are watching tv and film, which helps. I always start with a blank canvas, no templates and see where the experiments take me! Also bouncing things to wav as I go along and listening away from the studio helps immensely, even shitty ipod headphones help craft a mix.

Kinda new to the composing game, so looking to get my foot into the door and network whilst simultaneously learning to get to grips with the mountain of software that exists!
